LA VIA DEL VOLANO Room & Breakfast LA VIA DEL VO Room & Brea is located in Codigoro in the province of Ferrara along the river Po di Volano in the north-east of the Po Delta Park in Emilia Romagna. Navigation along the River Po had always played an important role in the history and culture of this territory, therefore many vessels used to sail the river Po carrying food and goods. Today we can go along the same routes following fascinating and unchanged itineraries. Our Room & Breakfast “La Via del Volano” - which is right in the heart of the Po Delta Park established in 1988 by Emilia Romagna Region - suggests visiting these extraordinary landscapes whose original environment is still well preserved and protected.

THE PO OF VOLANO

The Po di Volano is a delta branch of the river Po which starts from Stellata in the province of Ferrara and flows into the sea with an estuary mouth at the Lido di Volano. From Stellata to Ferrara, where it crosses the city, it is called Burana and then continues towards the sea with the name of Po di Volano passing through various municipalities in the province and finally Codigoro. From the dock of Codigoro the navigable path of the river starts to reach the sea with the presence of various moorings for boats. SLOW TOURISM Those who love nature, the vision of original landscapes and suggestive colors, those who love photography or birdwatching, will find the ideal starting point in “La Via del Volano”. The river route that starts from the Codigoro dock and arrives at the mouth of the Po di Volano and flows into the open sea in the Sacca di Goro, is an evocative journey through the reeds and the fishermen's balances. The river passes under the Romea state road at Passo Pomposa where you can admire the bell tower of the famous Abbey, then continues between the Canneviè Oasis and the Bertuzzi Valley finally reaching the sea and thus completing its journey with a stop at the Lido of Volano or in the uncontaminated island of Love. Also nearby are the Comacchio Valleys and the Boscone della Mesola, ideal places for excursions in the countryside.

STRUCTURE

"La Via del Volano" is a newly built structure. Our philosophy of eco-sustainability also starts from the construction type. We have built an energy-efficient building that takes the little energy it needs mainly from the sun. Thanks also to the biological plasters of the interiors, we assure you a healthy as well as welcoming hospitality. We provide 4 rooms with private bathroom, one of them equipped for people with disabilities, a welcoming breakfast room, both indoor and outdoor, a courtyard with private parking and a large sunny terrace with deck chairs and tables to relax.

WHAT WE OFFER GUESTS

We offer accommodation packages with bed and breakfast with local products and agreements with external structures such as restaurants and typical shops, extra services such as bicycle rental, excursions of naturalistic interest by boat, by bike or on foot in the Delta Park and guided visits to places of historical interest, in the land that once belonged to the Este family. A paper and computer infopoint inside the structure will allow tourists to easily find information on the area. However, we will be happy to suggest destinations and excursions based on the specific requests expressed by Italian and foreign guests and satisfy any curiosity about the places and culture of the area thanks to our knowledge of English and Spanish. We also welcome four-legged friends if they have a microchip and health card.
